Please review our Terms of Service carefully to ensure that we are the best fit for you before you agree to dog waste cleanup services from Scoop Caboose
Scoop Caboose (“us”, “our”) is an independently owned and operated business that provides pet-waste clean up services to residences and commercial properties. By signing up for service, you agree to the following terms of service (“Terms”) linked to the sales and services provided by us (“Services”). By accepting the Services you hire us for, you are bound to these Terms.
By starting services with us, the customer understands our ability to provide Services can be dependent on weather conditions, condition of the yard , accessibility to your yard which is the responsibility of the customer, and other unforeseen circumstances or outside influences beyond our control.
Dog Waste Cleaning Service
Scoop Caboose provides residential and commercial pet waste cleaning services.
Services include One Time, Weekly, Twice Weekly, Bi Weekly, and Monthly cleaning. All residential pricing is based on an area size up to about an 1/8th of an acre. Larger areas will have an additional charge assessed after the initial cleaning is completed.
Billing
Scoop Caboose pre-bills monthly for our service. Your account will be charged on the 1st of the month for that month’s service. If starting service mid month, that month will be prorated depending on the start date and regular monthly billing will continue on the 1st of the upcoming month.
One Time Cleanings
Payment is due 24 hours after service is completed for a single cleaning (non recurring monthly subscription). If payment is not received after 30 days your account will be sent to collections.
Failed/Declined Charge
If your monthly charge is unable to be processed, we will discontinue service until the issue has been resolved. If more than 30 days have passed since your last clean up, a first time clean up fee will be applied upon starting service again. If service does not resume after a 30 day period, you will be removed from the schedule until/if you decide to resume service at a later date.
Late payment fee of $10 added to each bill that is late. Payment is due the 1st of each month and is considered late if the payment is not received by the 3rd of the month.
Service Day(s) and Times
You will have a set service day that will be assigned to you for your recurring yard service each week. If you have a specific request for a service day please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you but we cannot make any guarantees as we group our customers into optimized routes to reduce travel costs.
On your service day each week you will receive a text message/email approximately 60 minutes prior to our arrival to service your yard so you have a rough idea of when to expect us. We optimize our routes each day to keep travel costs as low as possible so we are unable to provide specific times that we will be arriving at your home on your service day.
Refund Policy:
We do not provide refunds once payment is processed for the upcoming month. You will receive a reminder notification either by email or text 24 hours before your next payment is processed on the 1st.
Dogs In Yard: Dogs are welcome in the yard while we are cleaning. We make sure to close and latch the gate when we enter and leave the property. You will also receive a gate closed photo so you know your pet is safe after our work is completed.
If you have an aggressive dog or are concerned for any reason that your dog may be aggressive, please plan to keep your dog inside while we service your yard. If an aggressive dog is in the yard we will skip scooping for that day and notify you.
Waste Disposal
After we have scooped your yard and bagged all the waste, we will tie it securely and place it into your trash bin. If for any reason your trash bin is not left out for us to do this or is inaccessible, we will double bag the waste and leave it tied securely in front of your gate.
Overgrown yard, Leaves, Other Debris
If the yard is not maintained (the grass is very long, there are excess leaves, or other items left in the yard) it can be difficult to spot every pile. We do multiple passes to get as many as we can, but if the yard isn’t maintained when we arrive then there may be some dog waste missed. On our next scheduled visit we will pick up anything that might have been missed the prior week if yard maintenance is completed. Inclement Weather
We will provide service in rain or hot/cold weather as long as it can safely be done. The customer understands we cannot work through severe thunderstorms, high winds, extreme high temperatures, etc. Scoop Caboose provides a monthly subscription service and we do not offer refunds for missed weeks due to weather. In these situations we will skip service for that week and see you the following week. A refund will not be issued as we will still be picking up the poop that we would have scooped the prior week.
If you need the area cleaned before your next scheduled service, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. However, we cannot guarantee it.
During rainy seasons, we may skip your yard and wait until the next scheduled visit when things have dried out to avoid damaging your yard by walking on the soft soil.
Yard Access: The customer acknowledges that if Scoop Caboose is unable to access the area to be cleaned due to locked or blocked gate/aggressive dogs in the yard, the scoop will be skipped and charges will still apply. At the customer’s request we will come back for an additional $5 added to the customer’s monthly bill.
Holidays
Scoop Caboose does not provide scooping service on the following holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. If we are regularly scheduled to scoop your yard on one of these holidays, we will skip service that week and resume the following week. We do not provide refunds for a missed pick up on these days as we will still be picking up the poop from the week prior on our next visit. If you need the area cleaned before your next scheduled service, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. However, we cannot guarantee it.
December 25-January 1st Closure
We reserve the right to shut down operations fully between Christmas and New Years Day. You will be billed at your normal monthly rate unless you scoop your yard fully during our shut down period. If you need the area cleaned before your next scheduled service, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. However, we cannot guarantee it.
Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are unhappy with your service, please let us know and we will work with you to solve the problem. If we are unable to work out a suitable solution for you, we will refund your payment for the remainder of the month minus days already serviced.
Additional Fees:
Porch Scooping/Cleaning: $5/visit if we will be scooping and hosing off porches or patios. Hose access must be provided by the homeowner.
